Fourth of July Celebrations Throughout Tampa Bay

Happy 4th of July!

Last year may have been a bust for Independence Day celebrations, but this year our local communities have put together a ton of events to celebrate the holiday! We’ve compiled a list of local events this weekend for you to enjoy. So get our your red, white and blue, kick back and watch the fireworks this weekend!

Dunedin

-Kiwanis Midnight Run which is being offered both live and virtually. The virtual component is being held from June 24th to July 2nd. The live run will begin Saturday July 3rd, 11:15 pm and will start and finish in front of Frenchy's Outpost Bar and Grill on the Dunedin Causeway.

-Pinellas County Players will present a patriotic performance Saturday July 3rd, 4 to 5:30 p.m. at John R Lawrence Pioneer Park, 420 Main St. Dunedin

-Dunedin Goes Carting which is a patriotic golf cart parade that takes place on Saturday, July 3rd at the VFW the parade gets underway at 5:30 p.m.

-Hometown USA which is a fireworks show with entertainment, Saturday, July 3rd  at TD Ballpark. 373 Douglas Ave, Dunedin. Gates open at 7 p.m. and fireworks will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

-Independence Day Rolling Parade takes place Sunday, July 4th beginning at 1 p.m. The Fire Department and Sheriff's Police Unit will be driving around town running the sirens wishing everyone a happy holiday.

Clearwater

-Clearwater Celebrates America returns Sunday, July 4th at Baycare Ballpark. 601 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. and will conclude with a music-choreographed fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. Tickets are 5 dollars and can be purchased at Baycare Ballpark. 

Tarpon Springs

Fourth of July Picnic in Craig Park, Sunday July 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there will be a water slide, inflatables, and lawn games and paddle boarding for family fun. Free hot dogs, Live entertainment will start at 11 a.m. and a hot dog eating contest will begin at 12 p.m.

St. Pete

-St.Pete Beach will host its annual firework display (Sunday July 4, 9 p.m.) The display will be launched from Upham Beach, 6850 Beach Plaza, St Pete Beach

-Enjoy fireworks along waterfront parks (St. Pete Pier district) event festivities begin June 2nd with music, food, and a movie on the tilted lawn. Continues throughout the weekend with events such as the 4k St. Pete Pier Run, Silent Disco Nights, Health Expo, food trucks, and musical performances. Enjoy fireworks on July 4th at 9 p.m. along the downtown waterfront.

Tampa

-Red White and BOOM by the Bay begins on Sunday, July 4th at 7 p.m. (Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.)  
Armature Works, Tampa Convention Center, Sparkman Wharf, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Bayshore Blvd.

-Friends Of the Riverwalk Inaugural July 4th Boat Parade begins on Sunday July 4th from 6 to 9:15 p.m. on Hillsborough River- Downtown Tampa. The parade begins in the Convention Center basin and ends at Sparkman Wharf.

Safety Harbor 

-Safety Harbor 4th of July Parade from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street, Safety Harbor. The American Legion Auxiliary will host a Patriotic Parade. After, on 4th Avenue South and Main Street, there will be a patriotic ceremony with live music.
